Did You Know We’re Sponsoring A Raffle?
We’re inviting Basenji Clubs to create a Basket of goodies that reflects your region & bring it to the Specialty to raffle at the Specialty. The Raffle profit is a 50/50 split, with half the total income from the raffle going to the club with the basket voted the best by virtue of getting the most raffle tickets / votes. The remaining proceeds will go to the BCOA Health Endowment Fund. The drawing will be held on Wednesday November 13th during the Judging Lunch break.
The Arizona Specialty group is putting together an awesome basket & we challenge all Basenji Clubs to bring a great basket that showcases your region!
The Specialty Auction
We’ve gotten dozens of unique and rare Basenji items so don’t miss out on items that will be going, going, gone on Wednesday, November 13th at the Specialty in Tucson. We will be doing both a Silent & Live Auction and all items will be on display at the Specialty.
All who wish to bid on Auction items must first register as a bidder and will be assigned a Bidder Number. The Bidder Number will apply to both the Silent & Live Auction. The Silent Auction comes first. We will put auction sheets on each item on display and you will use your Bidder number to place your bid. Items that get more then 10 bids are removed from the Silent Auction and will then go to the Live Auction, with bids starting at the last bid on the Silent Auction sheet. All items that receive less then 10 bids are considered won by the last bidder before the Silent Auction is closed. You can bid on one, or as many items as you like. Bid increments must be at least $1. Silent auction bidding will take place up until Lunch on Wednesday, November 13th.
The Live Auction will begin after the Banquet, which will be held at the Pima County Fairgrounds Cantina. If you’ve attended Specialties in the past, you know how much fun this is. If it’s your first Specialty Auction – get ready for an exciting evening! As with the Silent Auction, you will be able to pay for your winning auction Item via cash/check or credit and/or debit card. We will have checkout cashiers available for both the Silent & Live Auction.
